THE MY FREIGHT VA STORY

Over the past 20+ years Darren Smith has started, developed and exited many businesses from franchising, online ecommerce, freight & logistics consulting, and retail fitness equipment stores.

During 2015 the freight business was rapidly growing as was his young family and with the expected birth of their 2nd child, Darren was tired from working long hours and had difficulty juggling the responsibilities of being a business owner, husband & father. After not so great experiences using well established outsourcing companies Darren realised the outsourced agents were not suited for the roles they were hired to do.

In 2018 he embarked on recruiting and developing his own offshore virtual team. As a result later that year the family was able to travel overseas on a month long well overdue holiday. During this time the business not only survived but thrived without him being there.

In 2019 other franchise owners asked Darren if his team would be able to provide support for their business as well.

During 2020 the freight & logistics business was booming and the customer support side hussle had evolved into a profitable stand alone business supporting seven franchisees.
“I was working more on the business than in the business and I had more time for family and personal hobbies than ever before.”

At this point the penny dropped and Darren discovered a passion for outsourcing and his true calling was helping other business owners develop their outsourced team to get more time freedom to work on their business and doing what they love to do.

Today My Freight VA assists businesses increase their efficiency, productivity and client experience by delivering bespoke customer support solutions, outsourced staffing and integrated offshore teams in the Philippines.
